Chatriya Hemharnvibul * 6th March * 1978 Bachelor degree, Visual Communication Arts , ABAC, Bangkok * Email - chatriyah@yahoo.com Artist that I like: Michelangelo, Botticelli, Gauguin, Van Gogh, John William Waterhouse, William Blake Music: Chopin, The Cure, Radiohead, Buck-Tick, Suede, Sonic Youth, Chicane, Moloko, David Bowie Countries I'd like to visit: Egypt, Japan, Peru, Greece Pets: Cats! I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. There were also times that I lived abroad in Ethiopia and New Zealand as well. My main interest obviously is in drawing and painting mostly portraits of girls, animals, legendary figures from the past and futuristic people and places from my own setting and imagination. I'm always interested in the ancient world such as the ancient egyptians, mesopotamian culture, classical periods of greek mythology .... and lots more. Different exotic culture always amazes me. It inspires me in many ways and gives me the diversity of knowledge and imaginations. My other interest would be in manga and fairy tales. As a thai, japanese manga has always had some kind of influence on me since young. My all time favourite artists would be Takehiko Inoue, Minoru Furuya, Miwa Ueda, Chieko Hosokawa, Tomoko Hayakawa, Kiminori Wakasugi and many more not mentioned here. I also had my first art exhibition opeining "His & Hers" in May 2009 at Sanasilp Gallery, Bangkok. It was great and I would like to thank everybody for attending the show.
